Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 18, 2026
Welcome to 8Dime.ai (“8Dime,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit 8Dime.ai, use our web application, book a consultation, join our deferred waitlist (“I will wait 6 more months”), create an account, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Waitlist / deferred follow-up: name, email address, website URL, and any notes you choose to include when you select “I will wait 6 more months.”
- Call booking: when you book via our scheduling link, the scheduling provider (for example Google Calendar appointment scheduling) may collect your name, email, and meeting details. That provider processes data under its own policies.
- Account information: if you sign in (for example with Google via Firebase Authentication), we receive identifiers such as your email address, display name, and authentication provider ID.
- Communications: content of messages you send us (support, email, or forms).
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URLs, pages viewed, timestamps, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Cookies and similar technologies: we use essential cookies to operate the site. With your consent, we may use analytics cookies (for example Google Analytics) to understand how the Services are used. See our cookie banner and Section 7.
- Logs: server and application logs for security, debugging, and reliability.
2.3 Information from third parties
- Authentication providers (e.g. Google / Firebase) when you choose to sign in with them.
- Scheduling or communications vendors involved in booking calls or sending transactional messages.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services and our content experience.
- Process waitlist signups and contact you around the deferred timeframe you selected (or earlier if you ask us to).
- Facilitate consultation booking and related scheduling communications.
- Create and manage user accounts, preferences, and access to authenticated features.
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
- Monitor performance, debug issues, and protect against abuse or fraud.
- Send service-related notices. Marketing emails are only sent where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent; you can unsubscribe.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use waitlist data to train public AI models.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK and similar regions)
Where applicable, we process personal data under one or more of these bases:
- Contract: to provide Services you request (account, booking support).
- Consent: analytics cookies, certain marketing, and optional form fields where consent is required.
- Legitimate interests: securing the Services, improving content, and understanding aggregate usage in a manner that does not override your rights.
- Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose information to comply with law.
5. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf (hosting, databases, authentication, analytics, email, scheduling, error monitoring). They are instructed to use data only to provide services to us.
- Professional advisors (legal, accounting) under confidentiality when needed.
- Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.
We do not share waitlist or account data with advertisers for their independent marketing.
6. International transfers
We may process and store information on servers located outside your country (including the United States or other regions where our providers operate). Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
7. Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies are needed for basic site function (for example storing cookie-consent choice).
Analytics (such as Google Analytics) load only if you accept non-essential cookies via our banner. Analytics help us understand traffic and improve the product. You can decline analytics; essential cookies may still be used.
You can clear cookies in your browser settings. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not uniformly standardized; we currently respond primarily through our consent banner.
8. Data retention
- Waitlist entries: retained until you ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them for the deferred outreach purpose (typically up to 24 months unless you convert to an active customer relationship).
- Account data: retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, disputes, and legal compliance.
- Logs and analytics: retained for shorter operational windows unless needed longer for security or legal reasons.
9. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information (access controls, encrypted transport via HTTPS, least-privilege practices). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete information (subject to legal exceptions).
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
- Data portability for information you provided to us.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise rights, email privacy@8dime.ai with enough detail for us to verify your request. We may need to confirm your identity.
California residents: We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined under the CCPA/CPRA. You may still request know/delete/correct rights as described above.
11. Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Third-party links and services
The Services may link to third-party sites or embed third-party tools (scheduling, authentication, analytics). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with an updated effective date. Material changes may be highlighted on the site or notified by email when appropriate. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
